The end of the year is the time to create a cozy atmosphere at home with Christmas decorations and mood lights. This handmade 7-pointed paper star from India certainly adds to the fun.
The Sumana is made of handmade paper, on which a winding pattern of holes and embroidery in the colour of the paper and with gold thread is made.
This paper starlight is already beautiful in daylight. But when the star is lit, both the structure of the handmade paper and the hole pattern come to life. The difference can be clearly seen in the photos: the star is lit with a black background; the star is unlit with a white background.
By the way, in real life this star is even more beautiful than in the pictures.

Easy to assemble
The starlight is sent flat packed and can be easily and quickly unfolded (see video above). Instructions for use are included. Tip: save the box to keep the star after the holidays until next year.
Including lighting kit
The star is supplied with a lighting set. This consists of a white cord of 3 meters with plug and a small socket (E14). A light is not included. You can use any lamp with a small fitting. We recommend a 2 or 3 Watt LED light.
Fairly produced in India
The production of the paper stars is located in a company in India with around 40 permanent employees. This company uses normal working hours and pays fair wages. There is no child or forced labour and the employer ensures safe and healthy working conditions. The company is certified and audited every year by the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI).
