Stylish designed Roll-Top Backpack
In addition to its stylish design, the Berlin offers plenty of space. Everything you use daily fits inside, making this strong backpack perfect as a school bag. It's also a great companion for a day at the beach.
The roll-top makes the Berlin very flexible in use. It closes at the top with a zip, so if you want to carry longer items (up to a maximum height of 50 cm), you have all the space you need. If you're not carrying much, simply roll up the top and secure it with the buckle closure.
Laptop Compartment for 15.6" and 17" Laptops
Inside the bag, you'll find a laptop compartment 27 cm wide, where you can place your laptop on its side. This allows laptops up to 36.5 cm to fit, with the closure still able to fasten. This fits almost all 15.6" laptops and many 17" laptops.
Note: if your laptop is wider than 36.5 cm, it will fit in the compartment, but the closure tab will not fasten.

Optimal Carrying Comfort
Great attention has been paid to the carrying comfort of this backpack. The back features a large padded panel made of breathable fabric. This feels wonderfully soft and reduces perspiration.
The straps are made from seatbelt material with hemmed edges, which is more comfortable for your shoulders. The straps are adjustable up to a maximum length of approximately 82 cm, allowing you to find your ideal carrying height.
There is also a handy handle for carrying the backpack by hand or hanging it on a coat rack.
Sustainable Through Recycling
With the Berlin, you are guaranteed to be sustainable. All the materials used for this bag are recycled. The exterior is made from truck tarpaulin, clearly showing its previous use, giving these bags their unique look and feel.

This MoreThanHip collection is made from used truck tarpaulin, which are discarded after many years of service on the road. These tarpaulin sails are usually too good for the landfill or incinerator and are ideal for a second life as a designer bag.
Sturdy and unique
You can often clearly see that the tarpaulin has been used and that gives the bags its sturdy look. Because the bags are made from recycled truck tarpaulin, none of these bags is exactly the same.
When designing the bags of truck tarpaulins, both the robustness of the construction, the ease of use and an attractive appearance stand central. For example, there is a lot of attention for the use of colour: the application of both visual features and colour accents.
Upcycling in optima forma
For this collection we work together with a studio where discarded sails are transformed into new bags. This is mainly traditional handicraft.
First the material is cleaned. Followed by the selection of the pieces that are most fun on the front of the bag. The next step is to cut the banners to size using patterns. Ultimately the bag itself is put together.
Other recycled materials are also used in these bags. For instance, the shoulder straps are used seat belts. In some models, bicycle inner tubes are also used to strip edges and air bags for the lining of bags.

In addition to the rugged appearance, truck tarpaulin is also very practical material. It is waterproof, so that the bags can’t be soaked with rain or splashing water. And it is very strong and not very sensitive to wear. So you have a long time to enjoy.
