Description:

Playful and decorative wind catcher

The Breeze is a colourful wind catcher in the shape of a fantasy fish, you can go in many directions with. You can use it for its intended purpose: as a wind catcher in the garden or at the campsite. But it's also great fun as a decoration in a children’s bedroom.

The length from head to the end of the tail ribbons is about 85 cm. The diameter of the mouth is approximately 12 cm.

Made of parachute fabric scraps
The Breeze is made in the workshop where they also produce our hammocks. For this bag leftover pieces are used  that remain at the cutting to size of the parachute fabric. Because these scraps are considered too valuable to throw away. Something they don’t like to do in Indonesia anyway. That’s why they make nice little items like children's bags and wind catchers.

Each Breeze is different in colour
Because they are made of leftover pieces of parachute fabric, every Breeze is different in colour. In the pictures you see three examples. Therefore, it is a surprise how your Breeze is going to be exactly.

Easy to wash
Does your Breeze become a little dirty? No problem. The bag is easy to hand wash in soapy water. The parachute fabric itself does not absorb moisture, so it dries quickly.

Sustainable aspects of the MoreThanHip hammock

Parachute Silk
MoreThanHip hammocks are made of parachute silk, or polyamide (nylon). This is a very durable material, resistant to water, mould (weather spots) and sun (UV radiation). For the production of polyamide indeed non-renewable fossil fuels are used, yet the process is relatively durable in comparison to cotton, which uses many pesticides and water. In addition, a parachute silk hammock will last averagely three times longer than a cotton hammock.

Fair production in Indonesia
The MoreThanHip hammocks are fairly made in Indonesia. Production takes place in a small workshop. The employees are paid well to local conditions and for health insurance by the employer.

CO2 compensation via Climate Neutral Group
The CO2 emissions from production and transport of the MoreThanHip hammocks is compensated via the Climate Neutral Group. This organisation invests in projects in developing countries that give people access to renewable energy and contributes to poverty alleviation, improving their health and their quality of life. Moreover, investing in renewable energy is ultimately better for the global CO2 emissions.
