The Nara Shopper is not only practical, but also a very nice shopping bag. And that is quite convenient  now you just don’t get plastic bags in supermarkets and shops anymore. So it is very handy to always have a foldable cotton shopper with you.

And that is the Nara Shopper. Made from hand-woven cotton and with its dimensions of 43 x 40 x 6,5 cm cm large enough to take a lot of things.

Moreover, the beautiful color of the cotton and the fine, stylish print ensure you can shop in style!

Mithila design
The print on the Nara Shopper is inspired by the traditional wall paintings of the Mithila women in southern Nepal. These paintings are passed down from generation to generation and represent both daily life and religious festivals, but also Hindu gods and legends. The Mithila women make these murals every year on the occasion of festivals. The monsoon floods the paintings off in the course of the year.

Brand: AuraQue

Aura Que: English design made in Nepal
AURA QUE creates a range of stylish contemporary accessories manufactured by the Nepal Fair Trade Group to increase ethical production in the developing country of Nepal. Each AURA QUE design is brought to life in a Nepalese factory that employs local people affected by disabilities, providing an income for themselves and their families according to fair trade principles. All products are individually hand crafted, which may result in slight variations. The unique story behind each AURA QUE product enhances its charm!

Designer Laura Queening incorporates local materials wherever possible, such as high quality 100% Buffalo leather that is a by-product of the food industry, traditional woven cloth, handmade brass fittings and banana yarn. The banana fibre yarn is 100% natural, and produced sustainably from the pruned excess outer layers of the Banana tree after each fruit harvest in South Nepal.
