The Slim mini wallet is made from recycled inner tubes of trucks and semi eco leather. This is leather tanned with 50% less chemicals, resulting in a beautifully rugged appearance. The color of the leather, which is finished with a black crackle topcoat, provides a nice contrast with the black of the rubber.
The Made in the Barrio collection is produced by Sapia, the largest fair trade supplier of Colombia. The studio is located in a very poor suburb of Bogota (Bolivar city). This is a small workshop where the staff are trained and receive a good salary.

The MoreThanHip tyre tube collection is made of recycled truck inner tubes. From a distance this material just looks like black leather. But close by you see it has to be something different.

Strong, wear resistant, supple and waterproof
Inner tube is very practical material: wear resistant, waterproof and easy to clean. The rubber is well cleaned and treated with environmentally friendly means, which hardly smells or stains. In use, it becomes even more beautiful because the tire tube gets a soft shine.

The Made in Barrio collection is made in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. The workshop is located in Bolivar City, a very poor slum area and operates according to fair trade standards. Socially disadvantaged residents, like single mothers, get a steady job, are trained and receive a good salary, according to local standards. In this way, people at the bottom of society get a chance of a better life. So: Fair trade!
