This bag is very special, just because it is made from the old sails of corn mill Windotter in IJsselstein. Two bags have been made in small numbers from the good pieces of these sails. This means that you have something really special in your hands.
The Wiek is a spacious duffel bag, which you can use as a weekend bag or swimming bag. Of course, it's also good for any other sport, and you can take it with you to the beach.

Spacious and handy backpack
The Wiek has a round shape and therefore offers a lot of space inside. Inside you will also find a zippered pocket for your wallet or phone, plus two musketon hooks to hang your keys, for example. On the front there is a large compartment that can be opened on two sides with a zip.
The duffel bag can be closed with a drawstring. This is a braided cord made from recycled yarns. The long adjustable strap makes it possible to carry the Wiek both on your shoulder and crosswise on your back.
Recycling of windmill sail
After 10 years in all weathers, the sails of Molen de Windotter in IJsselstein needed replacing. The original red sailcloth had faded and there were torns in it here and there. But after washing the sails and selecting the good pieces, there was enough cloth left to make special bags.
Characteristic are the discolourations in the canvas, giving them an authentic vintage look. The bags are not uniformly coloured, but vary from greyish to brownish old pink. The bag you receive may therefore differ slightly from the photo.
